EDI Coordinator
Description
The Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Coordinator will maintain a focus on anti-racism and EDI at Theatre@First. As an elected officer, this person will have a leadership role in all the deliberations and decisions of our Steering Committee and provide a central point of contact for all EDI and anti-racism initiatives, programs, and actions within our organization.
Responsibilities
assess policies and decisions of the Steering Committee for their potential and impact for BIPOC, women, LGBTQIA+, and disabled participants and audience
coordinate with the Artistic Director regarding EDI considerations for ongoing and new programs and events
coordinate EDI training programs and activities across Theatre@First
maintain and update the EDI/Anti-Racism section of the website to reflect ongoing efforts and changes
facilitate the work of the Anti-Racist Change Committee (ARCC) to maintain a focus and effort toward EDI and anti-racism and recommend EDI policies to the Steering Committee for adoption
review Audition Announcements and other publicity materials with an EDI lens
expand outreach efforts to BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and disabled participants and audience
recruit and provide guidance and training for EDI Representatives on Casting Committees
review cast lists before roles are offered to ensure that EDI goals have been addressed
maintain a database of T@F participants including voluntarily provided and confidential data on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and disability for data-tracking purposes and annually report participant EDI statistics to Steering Committee
receive reports regarding incidents that violate the Code of Conduct and follow the Resolution Process accordingly and annually report Code of Conduct/Resolution Process statistics to Steering Committee
