Three actresses with very different personalities and experiences are cast in a regional production of a classic Anton Chekhov play. The rehearsal process is plagued with hilarious complications, and through their shared ordeal they become as close as sisters. But will their hard work and suffering pay off?

About The Director: Jess Viator has been working with Theatre@First for 10 years, now! After graduating with a BA in Performance/Directing from Franklin Pierce University, she moved to Boston and began directing in the independent and community theatre scene: The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Miss Hyde and Peter Pan with The Post-Meridian Radio Players, staged readings of Will Eno's Tragedy: A Tragedy, and Zinnie Harris' The Wheel, with Theatre@First, as well as short plays for various short play festivals. She earned an MLitt in Theatre Studies from the University of Dundee, where she wrote or directed several pieces in collaboration with the Dundee Repertory Theater.
